Guided visit to one of the 5 Normandy beaches DAY ONE

On DDay 6th of June1944, the Battle of Normandy began.The operation Overlord delivered 5 naval assault divisions to the beaches of Normandy.Utah Beach witnessed the landings and the first airborne assaults . Utah and Omaha were the code names given by General Bradley who , when the operations were being named, asked two NCOs where they came from. Utah beach was the name given by the allies to the beach in Sainte-Marie -du-Mont.

 It's a 3 and a half hour drive to Utah Beach so a two-day stay to immerse in the history of the amphibious invasion.

Discover the beach, the monuments and the museum and grasp all the events of the soldiers who landed at Utah beach!

we'll visit the DDay Museum and discover its collection of objects, vehicles and equipment;In the hangar of the museum sits an authentic B26 bomber plane "Marauder"!Then, we'll take a walk and look at the many monuments near the museum at the entrance to the beach or on the road to Sainte -Marie -du-Mont where we will go the next day of the trip!
